I love this picture. It's one of the first things I made at the Art Institute of Colorado (back when it was The Colorado Institute of Art) during my "Fundamentals of Design" class in late 1999. The intention was to create an image from newspaper clippings and black construction paper that looked like a black and white image from a distance, reflecting our understanding of light and shadow. Hopefully you like it, but if not, try standing a few feet back and see if that makes it any better. You loved the thumbnail, right?
